The Sant'Anna School hosted the 'JSPS Information session', a meeting to learn about research opportunities in Japan. The event was organised by Stefania Michelucci, full professors at the University of Genoa, in collaboration with the Scuola Normale Superiore and the Scuola IMT of Lucca. The occasion was an opportunity to meet with a delegation from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), the largest funding agency for basic research projects in Japan in all fields of science: applied sciences, humanities and social sciences.

The speakers at the meeting were: Andrea Mina, Pro-Rector for International Relations for Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, Lorenzo Bartalesi, Scuola Normale Superiore, and Mirco Tribastone, Scuola IMT di Lucca. The three Japanese representatives, Kazuhiko Saigo, Director JSPS Strasbourg, together with Junko Fujimoto and Chika Koda, illustrated the main aims of their activities: selecting and supporting research projects in Japan, helping young researchers, promoting international scientific cooperation.
